7 Strong Prayers for Facebook Friends

Prayer to See the Big Picture
O God Enthroned on High, I pray for my Facebook friends. I pray that during their good days, sad days, busy days and stressful days, they will find a time during that day to be calm, hear Your voice, and know that You are God. Please center them in Your goodness, and remind them that the snippets of information posted online by others are merely what others want them to see. It is the best part of others, and may not even be real. Open their eyes to the big beautiful picture of the life You have given us. Help them to see that the posts online do not reflect the bigger picture. They are not reality. Do not let them compare themselves to the very best that others have posted. Amen.

Prayer to Build Each Other Up
Compassionate Father, I pray for my friends on Facebook who post unkind or hurtful messages. I pray for those who use Facebook to gloat, intimidate or belittle others. Renew the minds of these individuals. Show them the error of their ways and turn them to Your goodness. Just as iron sharpens iron, one man can sharpen and influence another. I pray that my Facebook friends turn to You as their compass and let You lead them in their messages. Amen.

Prayer for Spirit of Love
Heavenly God, I pray that my Facebook friends love each other as You love them. Too often I see arguments and disagreements posted publicly on people’s walls. Fill the people that post this ugliness with an attitude of friendship. Show them how to love their neighbors as themselves. Guide them in the spirit of service of each other, and help them strive to make this world a better place by walking in Your image. Thank You, dear God. Amen.

Prayer to Choose Righteous Friends
O Jehovah, my God, I pray that my Facebook friends choose their friends wisely. You say that the righteous choose their friends carefully, but the way of the wicked leads them astray. Whether offline or online, I pray that my Facebook friends reject being seduced by dishonorable people. Keep my friends safe from being deceived by people who want to harm them. Open their eyes so they can see who is trying to influence them and lead them astray with the content that they post. Amen.

Prayer for God’s Refuge
Jesus, my Savior, I pray that my Facebook friends remember that You are our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. I pray that even though their children are rebelling, or they struggle with their grades or their workplace is a burden, I pray that they will not fear. Though it feels as though the earth is falling and the mountains move into the sea, let the revelation of You and Your divine nature be the source of their peace. Inspire them with Your Holy Spirit so that they may feel Your very present help in their trouble. Amen.

Prayer for Strength
Everlasting God, I pray that my Facebook friends are not afraid of things that are happening in their lives. Fill their minds with the knowledge that You are with them. I pray that they are not anxious or unsure, for You are their God. You have promised to always strengthen and help Your children. I know You uphold Your children with Your righteous right hand. I thank You for being the rock that they can lean on when they feel alone or unstable. I thank You for being their peace in times of distress. I pray that my Facebook friends draw closer to You and come to know You ever more deeply. Amen.

Prayer for Known and Unknown Facebook Friends
Righteous God, as Your Word urges me to do everything in love, I pray for my Facebook friends. I know some friends better than others, and do not know some friends at all but I pray that You bless them. I pray that You cover them everywhere they go. You know their individual situations and You know what they need right now. Let Your face shine on them. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
